Welcome to the world of ScamWatcher, a platform dedicated to fighting online scams. With our new update, you can now create a user account and enjoy enhanced features to report and track scams. In this guide, we’ll explain step by step how to make the most of these new features.

Why Create an Account on ScamWatcher?

  1. Instant Reports: As a logged-in user, you can report scams without email validation. Your report will appear online immediately, saving you time and eliminating the back and forth between your email and ScamWatcher.
  2. Comment Notifications: Stay informed about new comments on reports. By subscribing to a thread, you will receive email notifications, facilitating interaction and information exchange within our community.

How to Create Your Account

Creating an account is as simple as on Google. Follow these steps:

  1. Click on “Login” in the top bar.
  2. Fill out the form with your email address, a username, your preferred language, and a password.
  3. A validation email will be sent to you.

Important to Know:

  • Security is our priority: your password is encrypted and stored securely.
  • Your username is unique and modifiable, just like your password.
  • The password must be at least 8 characters long.

Subscribing to a Report

Log in and click on your username. A drop-down menu allows you to:

  1. Edit your profile (username, password).
  2. View your followed topics: a summary table of the reports you are subscribed to. You can also unsubscribe from a specific report.

The Information Email

You will receive a maximum of one daily email, containing:

  • New reports.
  • A link to your subscriptions.
  • A global unsubscribe link.
